ToggleJackie Falk is the adoptive daughter of American actor and television director Peter Falk. Her father was best known for his role as Lieutenant Columbo in the series Columbo. The role earned him several accolades, including four Primetime Emmy Awards.
Jackie’s biological parents are unknown, but Peter and his first wife did their best to ensure that their children had the best. Despite separating when the girls were young, Peter remained in the lives of his daughters, and he was very supportive.

Her Father
Jackie’s father tried several things before finally settling on acting. He first applied for a job in the CIA, but he was rejected. He later worked as a management analyst. Peter noted that he was always late to work. He even joked that on the first day, he could not find the building where he was supposed to report for work.
While working as an analyst, Jackie’s father joined a theater group that would perform various plays. He then later attended acting classes. One time, he lied his way into a class of professional actors, and that is how he met some big names in the acting industry.
In 1956, Jackie’s father made his Broadway debut in the play Diary of a Scoundrel. He then went on to have a great career. However, his role as Lieutenant Columbo in the series Columbo brought him into the national and international limelight. Additionally, he won several accolades for his role.
In his later years, Peter Falk was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, and over time his health deteriorated. He died in 2011 as a result of Alzheimer’s and complications of pneumonia. Many people attended his burial and praised him for the enormous contributions that he had made to the acting industry.
