Mercy Fiennes Tiffin is the younger sister of English actor, model, and film producer Hero Fiennes Tiffin. Hero is best known for his appearance on the After film series. Mercy was born on October 15, 2001, in London, UK, to Martha Fiennes and George Tiffin.
Mercy’s mother is a film director, and as such, it was natural for her to find herself in the entertainment industry. At seven, Mercy appeared in the film The Duchess as the duchess’s daughter. Despite having appeared in the movie at a young age, Mercy did not go on to pursue an acting career.
Early Life and Education
Mercy Fiennes Tiffin was born in London, UK. Despite her parents’ busy schedules, they always created time for the daughter. Additionally, Mercy was protected by her older brothers, who have always been overprotective of her.
When she came of age, Mercy began her elementary education in one of the finest schools in London. She then proceeded to the high school level and finally college. Mercy has been very secretive of the institutions she has studied, and it is hard to tell if she is still in college or not.
Her Parents
Martha and George met in the 1990s and began a romantic relationship. Their relationship led to the birth of their first child in 1995. Two years later, they had another son, Hero, and in 2001 they had Mercy. Mercy’s parents have never been married, but they have been the best parents to her and her siblings.
Mercy’s mother is a film director. She comes from a family that has done well in the entertainment industry- several of her brothers are actors. Martha made her directorial debut in 1999 in Onegin, where her brother Ralph played the titular role. Following her debut, Mercy’s mother received a lot of praise and won the Best Director award. She was also voted as the best newcomer.
Six years later, Mercy’s mother released her second film, Chromophobia. Besides her career as a director, Mercy has her other business through which she makes money to tend to her financial needs. Mercy’s father, on the other hand, is a photographer. He has kept a low profile, and there is little that is known about his profession.
Her Brother
Mercy’s brother, Hero, has been gracing our screens since he was nine. He made his film appearance in 2008 when he appeared in Bigga than Ben as Spartak. A year later, he landed the role of Tom Riddle in the movie Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. There were some speculations that Hero got the role due to his relationship with Ralph Fiennes, who was playing Voldermont in the film. The film’s director refuted the claims and noted that Hero was very focused and brought the best from his role as Tom Riddle in the show.
Over the years, Hero has had a great acting career, appearing in several films, mostly in the After series. Additionally, he has several upcoming roles, including in the television series Young Sherlock, where he will play young Sherlock Holmes.
