ToggleGreg Wasz has spent his life blending creativity with strategy. Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, he built a successful career in sales while exploring his passion for video storytelling. His journey is one of balance—between work, family, and creative expression.
A Love for Storytelling
Greg’s passion for storytelling started early. Growing up in West Chester, Ohio, he was drawn to music, performing in his school band. He later studied communications at Ohio University, where he landed an internship with The Late Show with David Letterman.
“That experience was eye-opening,” Greg recalls. “It showed me how powerful storytelling can be, whether it’s making people laugh or helping them connect with an idea.”
Though he loved media and entertainment, Greg chose a different career path. He entered the world of sales, learning how to communicate, build relationships, and solve problems for clients.
Building a Career in Sales
Greg’s first job in sales was at MANE, a global company specializing in flavors and fragrances. Over 22 years, he worked his way up to National Account Director, managing relationships with major brands like Campbell’s, Nestlé, and Hershey.
“Sales is about understanding people,” Greg says. “If you listen and build trust, everything else follows.”
In 2024, Greg decided to take his expertise and start his own consulting business, Wasz, Inc.. He wanted to help companies improve their sales strategies while maintaining the flexibility to focus on his family and creative projects.
The Birth of Greg Wasz Productions
While climbing the corporate ladder, Greg discovered a personal passion—video storytelling. He started filming family moments, turning them into short videos. It was a way to preserve memories, but it soon became something more.
“I realized that capturing life on video wasn’t just about remembering events,” Greg says. “It was about preserving emotions, personalities, and the little moments that make life special.”
What started as a hobby became Greg Wasz Productions, a personal project dedicated to documenting family experiences through video. He films everything from vacations to everyday moments at home, weaving them into meaningful narratives.
Finding Meaning in Everyday Moments
For Greg, video storytelling isn’t about staged shots or polished edits. It’s about capturing real moments. He believes that the best stories are often found in the smallest details.
“Some of my favorite videos aren’t from big trips or major events,” he says. “They’re from simple days—my kids laughing at the dinner table, playing in the backyard, or just being themselves.”
Greg sees video as a way to create a legacy. He wants his children to have something to look back on, a visual record of their childhood and family life.
Balancing Work, Creativity, and Family
Juggling a sales career, a personal brand, and family life isn’t easy, but Greg has found a way to make it work. He structures his time carefully, ensuring that each aspect of his life gets the attention it deserves.
“During the day, I focus on my clients. Evenings are for my family. And late at night, when the house is quiet, that’s when I work on my videos,” he explains.
This balance allows Greg to pursue both his professional and creative passions without feeling like one is taking away from the other.
Lessons from Behind the Camera
Over the years, Greg has learned valuable lessons from his experiences in sales and storytelling. One of the biggest? Success isn’t just about achievements—it’s about impact.
“I used to think success meant hitting career milestones,” he admits. “But now, I see it differently. Success is about creating something meaningful, whether it’s helping a client or making a video my kids will watch years from now.”
He also believes in embracing imperfection. In both business and storytelling, not everything will go according to plan. But sometimes, the best moments come from the unexpected.
“Some of the best shots I’ve ever captured were totally unplanned,” Greg says. “Life isn’t perfect, and that’s what makes it beautiful.”
Looking Ahead
Greg continues to build Wasz, Inc., helping businesses refine their sales strategies. At the same time, he remains committed to video storytelling, constantly looking for new ways to capture and share meaningful moments.
“Life moves fast,” he says. “We can’t slow it down, but we can capture the moments that matter.”
Through his work in sales and storytelling, Greg has found a way to leave a lasting impact—one conversation, one video, and one moment at a time.
