Early Life and Education
Trevor Newlin is a Texas native. He was born on October 14, 1996, in Longview, Texas. He had a pretty normal childhood, but he had an interest in acting. Luckily, he met a guy who told him that he would have a great acting career portraying creatures. While speaking in an interview, Trevor Newlin noted that that is the most vital advice he has ever received.
Regarding his education, Trevor Newlin began his education in a local elementary school. After that, he enrolled in a local high school before proceeding to a small college in his hometown. After completing his college education, Trevor Newlin moved to Los Angeles where he studied film while searching for acting roles.
Professional Life
Trevor Newlin has been in the acting industry for close to a decade. He began his acting career on stage playing various roles before he began playing creature roles. Trevor mostly did voice over work and wanted to focus on that. However, he met someone who told him that due to his height, he would have a great career playing monsters. Trevor took up the challenge and met up with Doug Jones, who mentored him.
Initially, Trevor had done some commercials. However, through Jones’s mentorship, he got more gigs. He did several commercials that led to major openings, such as Alien: Romulus. Trevor did a commercial for Amazon where he played Yeti. This opened the opportunity for the role in Alien: Romulus.
While speaking of his role in Alien: Romulus, Trevor Newlin noted that it was not easy wearing the monster suit. The head alone weighed about 12 pounds. Additionally, the head obscured his vision. However, the film’s director was quite helpful. Trevor further noted that playing the monster gave him the chance to be free. In normal acting, actors reveal their faces. However, playing the monster meant that people did not know him. As such, he was more free, which helped him play the role better.

Trevor Newlin stands at 6-foot-7 tall. His tall stature has been helpful in his acting career. He has always been tall and he was the tallest in his class. Due to his height, he used to stand out. However, he was a good kid and did not have anyone picking on him.
